How to correct use X ray flaw detector (X ray radiography facilities)

Make all the operator know what they should and should not do, clarify their responsibilities, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of all the staff to become the driving force for the production and operation of the enterprise.

 

The protective requirements for the use of radioactive equipment are as follows:

1. Establish a radiation protection management organization, define radiation management personnel and their responsibilities, establish and implement radiation protection management systems and measures.

2. The operators engaged in the flaw detection work must hold the "radiation device work operation certificate", and regularly carry out occupational health monitoring.

3. Inspection personnel should obtain the qualification of non-destructive inspection personnel required by the state before formal work. Personal dose monitoring must be strengthened for on-site operators, and operators should carry personal dose meters or ray alarms.

4. Strengthen personal protection and shielding measures against radioactive sources, and purchase qualified products produced by professional manufacturers designated by the state for personal protective equipment.

5. Before work, the performance of equipment protection facilities should be carefully checked, and problems found should be dealt with in time. The grounding and zero connection of the equipment must be reliable. The gas pressure gauge should meet the standard value, and it is prohibited to use when it is lower than 0.34MPa.

6. The radiographic inspection machine should not use the same power supply circuit as other power equipment of the welding machine. Especially when using a welder, X-ray devices should not be used.

7. The grounding wire of the X-ray device shall be directly connected to the ground alone, and shall not be connected to the common grounding end of the reinforcing structure of the building or the welding machine.

8. The X-ray flaw detection machine should work in intermittent mode, working time and rest time is 1:1, between the generator and welding must be insulated, the controller should not be used in the state of moisture.

9. Under the rated working conditions of the X-ray inspection machine, the circumferential measurement equivalent rate caused by leakage rays at 100CM away from the focus of the X-ray tube shall meet the requirements of Table 1, and the description of these indicators shall be given in the random file.

10. Operators should check the following items before working:

  1. Whether the appearance of the flaw detector is intact;
  2. Whether the cable is broken, twisted or damaged;
  3. Whether there is leakage in the equipment with liquid refrigeration;
  4. Whether the safety interlock is working properly;
  5. Whether the alarm equipment and warning lights are in normal operation;
  6. Whether the fixed radiation detector installed in the machine room is normal.

 

11. The maintenance of X-ray flaw detection machine shall meet the following requirements

      a) The user shall be responsible for the equipment maintenance of the flaw detection machine at least once a year. Equipment maintenance should be carried out by professionally trained staff or equipment manufacturers;

      b) Equipment maintenance including thorough inspection of flaw detection machines and detailed inspection of all components;

      c) When the equipment needs to be replaced due to failure or damage, it shall ensure that the replaced parts are qualified products;

      d) Equipment maintenance records shall be kept.
